BioVeg
Coronet has always been a leader in the search for the optimal mix of technical performances and aesthetic appeal. The new BioVeg line – the result of years of R&D – represents the sustainable incarnation of this concept.
The manufacturing technology developed specifically for these products employs bio-derived raw materials which allow for a lighter environmental impact compared to standard processes.
The LCA (Life-Cycle Analysis) of BioVeg products highlights notable improvements in the following fields: Health, climate change and global warming impact, environmental quality, natural resources depletion.
Land use estimation for Bioplastics 2018 and 2023
Global warming
The GWP (Global Warming Potential) indicates that CO2 emissions are cut by 13%, consequently the BioVeg family carbon footprint is 13% lighter than standard options.
Natural resources depletion
Our new PRM BioVeg material employs less natural resources for its production, most notably the energy consumption from non-renewable Standard material sources is nearly half that of non-BioVeg options (-44%)
Ozone depletion
CFC emissions, responsible for the thinning of the ozone layer, are 32% lower than the standard process.
